Welcome to the new Tairawhiti Skateparks forums, for skateboarding as well as all other skatepark usage in Gisborne and the entire East Coast region of New Zealand's North Island.

These forums are provided for anybody and everybody interested in skateboarding or skateparks in the Tairâwhiti region of Aotearoa, where each new day’s sunrise really is the first on earth.

Brought to you courtesy of the Tairawhiti Skateparks Interest Group, a community voice open to ANYBODY interested in any skateparks in the Tairawhiti area- whether on bike or trike, blade or board, it's all sweet as!

To begin using the forums, simply select the Tairawhiti Skateparks Forums link at the top right of this page, and enjoy!

The forums are divided into two main sections:

1) the Community Organisations section is for topics specific to our area's skatepark-related organisations, including the Gisborne Skateboarding Club and the overall Tairawhiti Skateparks Interest Group (and its local groups, such as the Gisborne Skateparks Group). Topics in these organisation-specific forums usually revolve around upcoming meetings, plans, possible actions, and so on.

2) the East Coast Skateparks section is a collection of local forums for each city's skateparks, oriented towards casual discussion regarding local skatepark events, hook-ups & sessions, whether on bikes, boards, or whatever! For example, announcements for skate lessons or skate competitions specific to a skatepark might be posted in that skatepark's forum, as well as in an All East Coast Skateparks forum.

Anybody can read the posted messages, but must create an account to post a new topic, or to reply to an existing topic. And creating an account is as easy as clicking on "Create new account" underneath User Login, on the top left of the page. Easy as! :-)
