Gisborne's Alfred Cox town park repairs needed
This is a great place to list current items of concern, such as those requiring maintenance or repair. As of Sunday, August 24th, for example, the following are noted as issues in Alfred Cox:
- moveable ramps and boxes in various states of disrepair (NOT the GDC's responsibilty - we must repair or replace these ourselves)
- back bowl deep end drainage and leak problems such that it is not often skateable (GDC responsibility)
- back light behind bowl is currently not working (GDC responsibility)
- earthquake cracks in the back flow area (GDC responsibility)

Alfred Cox back-bowl light fixed
Over the last few weeks, the light at the back bowl has been fixed. Excellent!
Remember that to report any such necessary repairs to Gisborne District Council is as simple as either ringing them up at 06 867 2049, or filling out a written Request for Service in person, or even more easily complete the Request for Service online at:

Alfred Cox skatepark drains
Also currently in need of repair in the back flow area.... drains! need drain caps AND flushing of drains (if not already done recently). The drains are also the GDC responsibility, since they are permanent features of the facility. Repairs regarding ANY such GDC feature may be requested by calling or writing GDC with a "Request for Service".
